Naivasha Arts Access Scholarship
Term stipends and materials bursaries for young artists from Naivasha's flower-farm communities to attend studio programmes.
Naivasha's economy runs on floriculture, and its young artists grow up between greenhouses. A handful make it onto studio programmes every year — most drop out when the term stipend runs out.
This scholarship funds the gap: a term's living stipend, a materials bursary, and transport to Nairobi galleries for the cohort's annual showing.
What a donation buys
- 7,500 KES — a term materials bursary (canvas, paint, mediums)
- 15,000 KES — one student's term stipend
- 40,000 KES — the annual cohort trip to Nairobi galleries
Bursary recipients and a spending ledger are published each term.
