Meru Coffee & Canvas Programme

Free weekend art workshops for Meru's coffee-zone children: paper, paints, and visiting-artist honoraria.

Meru's coffee-growing communities fund a free Saturday workshop programme — children who would otherwise never hold a brush get paper, paints, and a visiting artist who knows the local schools.

What a donation buys

  • 2,800 KES — a term's paper and paint for thirty children
  • 7,000 KES — a visiting artist's honorarium for a workshop day
  • 18,000 KES — a term's worth of Saturday sessions

Attendance numbers and a materials ledger are published each school term.
