The story

A Kampala youth photography programme shoots on film, prints in a borrowed darkroom, and exhibits the work on the lakeside. The film and chemicals are imported and expensive — and the programme runs on exactly that.

What a donation buys

  • 22 USD — ten rolls of film and a printing-paper pack
  • 55 USD — a month's darkroom chemicals
  • 180 USD — one exhibitor's printing-and-framing costs

Exhibition dates and a materials-cost ledger are published per lakeside show.
