Eldoret Runners' Mural Project
Athlete-artist collaborations painting Eldoret's training-route walls: paints, brushes, and artist stipends.
Eldoret's hills are a global running corridor, and the walls along its training routes are blank concrete. The Runners' Mural Project pairs athlete stories with local artists to paint them — a long-running collaboration between the town's two kinds of endurance.
What a donation buys
- 3,200 KES — exterior paint for one athlete-portrait wall
- 8,500 KES — an artist's stipend week on the route
- 20,000 KES — a full collaborative mural, materials and stipend in
Each finished wall is logged with the athlete's name and the artist's statement.
